It started with his dad and uncle flying rubber band powered airplanes in the backyard. At 10-years-old Jon started flying radio control, and when he&nbsp;was 14 he started competition flying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 1986, he started his PPL but ran out of time and money.\u00a0 Many, MANY ninety-day solo endorsements and 30 years of life later, he received his certificate.\u00a0 In 2018 he earned his Instrument, Commercial, CFI and CFII certificates and ratings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jon is loving life and instructing, and is a great example of what a love of aviation and perseverance can achieve.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Like most in aviation, Jon has been passionate about it since he can remember.
